    Upstairs at Trove, or on one of the many dance floors in Manchester.

    What does movement mean to you?

    Movement is a universal language. There’s a movement practice for all of us, you’ve just got to find the one that works for you.

    For a gentle flow, anything by East Forest. But secretly I’m pretty cheesy and love nothing more than some 80s/90s classics for an upbeat class!

    When you’re not teaching, where will we find you?

    Either upstairs in Trove drinking coffee or out hiking in the Peak District somewhere.

    Favourite local hangout?

    Vertigo for the vegan food. Crazy Pedros for the frozen margs!

    What does movement mean to you?

    Freedom and connection. Through movement I’ve been able to climb mountains, explore new places, feel strong and capable of doing hard things and of course, to meet incredible people along the way.

    Carly is a former professional dancer, barre fitness instructor, and all-round lover of movement. She has spent 6 years in the barre industry working in various high-end boutique fitness studios and has never looked back.
