    The Fun Stuff

    Best song to move to?

Anything with a beat that you can turn up loud. Pre-class solo dance party to Renegade by Big Red Machine and Taylor Swift. For a sweaty barre class, give me Make It Up by Tirzah, for some pilates feel good vibes, give me More Than A Woman (SG’s Paradise Edit) by the Bee Gees.

When you’re not teaching, where will we find you?

When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me making people’s dreams come true making coffees and selling pastries at Trove. I try to get outside for a walk every day, often with a podcast in my ears, and let’s be honest – netflix and my couch at the end of the day.

What does movement mean to you?

Movement to me is a way to let go of all the negative self talk crap that can run riot in my brain. When I’m on the mat, whether I’m doing something cool or figuring out some new transitions, or just enjoying how my body is feeling in that moment, it allows my focus to turn internal and move past what I look like. I always tell my clients, who cares what you look like! Movement should be fun, it’s often silly, and it will not look the same on everyone. As long as you feel better after you finished than when you started, it did it’s job.

Top 3 (dead or alive) dinner guests?

Wentworth Miller – because I want to marry him

Ru Paul – because its Ru Paul

Robin Williams – because I love to laugh

What does movement mean to you?

Movement is therapy, I love to move my body in ways that make me feel strong, in ways that make me feel sexy and ways that make me feel free.
