What is REFORM and is it for you?

What is REFORM and is it for you?

Whilst you may see us refer to REFORM as our group personal training concept, that doesn’t even begin to do it justice.

That’s why we’re dedicating a whole blog to it today. Because REFORM is so much more than group PT or a lift-based fitness class. It is a revolutionary concept built on hard work, accountability, and a lot of sweat

Is REFORM for you?

Our main ethos at FORM is to have true, life changing effects on people’s health and fitness.

We don’t want to have quick fixes; we want to make an instant impact but create an environment where these changes are for life! We want to turn the beginners in to beast! We want to make everyone who walks into FORM to walk out feeling like a superhero!

So, if you’re looking for a training facility that provides very little in terms of training expertise but provides you with the #instaperfect post-workout shake or selfie mirror, then we’re probably not for you.

Feel inspired to be your best

REFORM is at the heart of our ethos – along with some great music and community. We have built an environment that will help to inspire you to be your best through:

  • Progressive programming and tracking will help you monitor your continual progress
  • Coaches to work with you and understand your personal goals
  • Education to maximise the results from your investment
  • Community to hold you accountable and keep you motivated

We truly care about the things that have an impact on your health, fitness, and physique. We’re not in it for quick fixes and fads; we want to ensure you are in this for the long run.

No matter what life throws at you, we want you to get the most out of the time you spend training with us and to enjoy our community.

It is so much easier to achieve something in a team!

For those that think we’ve just put three words together, these three concepts are phases of our fitness journey.

These phases ensure that you get the most of your training – not just working on one specific element but becoming a well-rounded, mini athlete. But don’t let the specific phases but you off, there is always an element of lifting, cardio and power in all three concepts.

But why do we change the phases every 8 weeks? Put simply, it’s because we care. We only want the best for everyone who steps foot in our home. Balancing these 3 concepts has proven to be the perfect recipe for success, motivation, and results!

We wouldn’t do this any differently for our 1-2-1 personal training clients, so why would we do it any differently in a group?

What is CHARGE?

The high energy, metabolic conditioning style training of CHARGE utilises cardio machines as well as weights and body weight movements.

CHARGE has a large focus on improving cardiovascular fitness and muscular endurance.

The use of MyZone heart rate monitoring will ensure that cardio can be controlled and programmed correctly. It also helps us push everyone to their own personal limit – helping everyone to maximise their own training journey in the safe hands of our expert personal trainers.

What is FORCE?

FORCE is about utilising both free weights and machines to build a large amount of lactate acid in the muscle.

Within this phase, you’ll learn how to lift properly and obtain the confidence to walk into any free weights area knowing that you know your s**t!

You will be under the expert eye of our personal trainers to ensure that you are able to push yourself to your limits without injuring yourself.

Never had the confidence to push yourself on the leg press? In these sessions, we’ll help to push you to your limit, be proud of yourself (and maybe even throw out a warrior lifting cry in the process)!

What is POWER?

This phase is exactly what it says on the tin. The focus of this phase to really improve your total body strength and power through large compound movements such as deadlifts, squats, bench press and pull ups. The cardiovascular element of this phase will be based around the anaerobic energy system.

This might seem like the most intimidating phase out of the 3 but we’ve got your back. We’ll ease you in and help to make you feel comfortable; we never want anyone to feel left out or stupid in our walls. If you can’t do a pull up on week 1, that’s completely fine; we can’t wait to see your transformation.

To support you along the way, we have loads of machines and techniques as alternatives. But we find our REFORMers really drive themselves with true grit and determination to finish this phase with a single non-assigned pull up at the end.

All about accountability

The one thing that makes REFORM so different to any other group training class is that we assign our REFORMers to a coach.

At FORM, we know to get the best out of people you need someone to be accountable to – someone who is on your side! This, combined with the power of a community and great programming, creates the perfect environment to succeed.

What to expect from REFORM

On day one, you will be asked to fill out a quick questionnaire so we can determine your goals. Your coach will use this to give you recommendations and tasks outside of the sessions to help you reach them. If needed, measurements will also be taken to keep track of your progress – helping you focus on what means the most to you.

All our coaches will be made aware of your goals so that we know what buttons to press to get you fully focused during each workout. We’ll get to know you so we can continually drive you forward – with brief moments to stop and look back at how far you’ve come.

It is important to us that you put in place some daily habits. After all, investing in yourself should be a long-term thing. We’ll help these new, healthy habits to fit within your lifestyle and help you reach your goals.

You can expect REFORM to have an instant impact with changes that will stick with you for life.

Are you ready for hard work?

REFORM isn’t for everyone – but we are here for everyone who is ready to make a change.

A straight-forward, no gimmick approach to fitness.

We don’t sell and juice diet plan or claim that that our workouts burn a 1000 calories every time. What we do is set you up in the best possible environment to achieve your goals, build habits and ultimately become the best possible version of yourself.

Exercise is about winning and shouldn’t be seen as a punishment! Let’s start enjoying training and turning ourselves into the mini athletes we know we are, together.

Start your REFORM journey by taking our concept for a test drive.
